hi! im so happy i get to visit your informative blog, thank you for all the helpful info, my question is my I-129F fiance petition was approved, a noticed was sent to my fiance in the states on jan5, as i’ve read in your blog the us embassy here in the phils. will send me a notice for my interview date, my fiance went home in july, he applied my petition in aug, by then we still didnt know that i was pregnant. so by now im 5 1/2 mos pregnant, will it affect my application? im woried that it will delay my application because i’m pregnant. pls give light to this. thank you & god bless you!

hi:) this is dax. i posted a comment around june or so… i’m not sure you remember. anyway, i just want to thank you for all the help and the info from this site. i’m already in va… from the filing to my leaving for the states–it was all just less than 4 months! it pays to be complete and ready with all the docs so there won’t be any delays. i’m getting married on dec 5 and i’m very excited! again, thanks and have a great day!

my husband went back ti phil.w/o recieving the travel permit i could the u.s immigration they said still on process is there any problem for him to come to u.s?when i recieve the travel permit i will send it to him.but im just worried if he can come back to u.s coz he left w/o the permit.but before he left he did the finger print already.

I’m sorry but you can’t do that. You have to have met in person within 2 years of filing the petition (once or twice of meeting in person is enough) for USCIS to consider your relationship valid.

The Proof of Termination of Marriage is if your fiance was previously married? If yes, he needs to send you this form. If not, disregard this requirement.

To Tina: I’m Elsa from Davao City. Im just new here. Ask ko lang if working before in Japan as entertainer will not affect on the processing of the fiancee visa. Coz my fiancee is afraid to file the petition because of my past job. He thinks that the US Embassy willl not grant me a visa because of that. Please help for this problem. For Tina and bev on Police Certificate: According to the Japanese Consul na nakausap ko sa Embassy, we need to submit a “Letter of Request” na manggagaling sa US Embassy for us to be able to apply for a Police Certificate which will take another one and a half to two months depending on the applications filed sa Japan. Nothing to paid for. There’s finger printing. And yes, another 2 months to add up sa paghihintay natin. I really wanted to know if I could request for the letter that the Jap Consul was requiring ahead of time to save the 2 month processing time. I went to the US Embassy and was allowed to get inside and was instructed to proceed to a window and talked to the person who was a Filipina. I explained about the needed letter of request from them and according to her, they could not issue that letter. She also asked me if naifile na raw ang petition sa USCIS and sinabi ko, it was yet to file. Ang problem nga, we need to have ALL the documents ready for the interview. Kaya di ko din alam ngayon, kung pano ang magandang gawin. Siguro makikiusap ulit ako sa Japan Embassy once meron na akong proof na merong nakafile na petition for me. Still, there’s no guarantee on allowing me to apply for the Police Certificate without the “Letter of Request” na hinihingi nila. yes, sharing na lang tayo ng imformations. I apologize for this delayed response and for bitsnpieces…you were asking kung nasan na ako sa application ko…petition is yet to file by my fiance dhl kakukuha ko lang ng certificate ko from NSO last Oct.1 showing that I am elligible to remarry. hey there, i was just browsing some infos in regards with fiance visa and i’m really blessed to see your blog. me and my fiance, are planning to have an agency help us for the fiance visa but its too expensive and i don’t want him to spend too much money. i am hoping that through your blog we can make it on our own. anyways my first question. u mentioned that the first thing to do is to have my fiance file the petition papers and that is the I-129 form right? i’m just confused, do i have to fill up some papers too? or he can just fill up my information? and also are we going to pass the G-325A together with the I-129form? i have to fill up the G-325A myself right? does that mean, i have to print G-325A and send it to him in mail? so, if ever that’s the case, then we have to wait for him to receive the mail.. is that correct? it’ll take 15 days for him to get it. and were hoping we can have it process this week. how did u do yours? i’m so sorry for the long msg. heh, thank you so much for reading this. i’l be waiting for your reply. Jing, yes you want to use your married name in all the forms. You don’t need to set any appointment with USCIS for filing your AOS. From what I understand you have until a year to adjust your status after marriage. It doesn’t matter if your visa expired for as long as you’re married to your fiance already. Of course, you want to file your AOS sooner than later for faster processing of your green card.

Lei, do you mean your fiance just started his petition for you? If so, it might take up to 6 months depending on the volume of application USCIS receive. Just be patient and make yourself busy in the meantime.

hi! im starting to prepare the docs for my adjustment, i have a question, when u fill out all the forms for my adjustment like I-485 and g325, am i going to use my married name already? and do i really have to call uscis for appointemnt or we can just go there? my visa is expiring this sept 16 and we havent submitted papers for my adjustment yet, would there be any problem if i submitted the papers after the expiration? thanks! have a good day!

my papers we’re submitted in june and was sent to the immigration on july 2 it’s almost 2 months and until now we didn’t hear anything from the immigration/embassy yet..im afraid there are problems..what will i do?
